Privacy notice

The short version

WhicketyWhacker.com shares adventure-story news about Grandma Whickety Whacker, Tony, and Macaroni. The Pathfinder Pack signup is for adults. We ask for a first name and email address so we can send story, book, expedition updates, and — only if you choose it — the Sunday Campfire, a weekly bedtime story on the evening you pick. Please do not submit a child's information.

Information we handle

• Information you provide: a first name and email address when an adult joins the Pathfinder Pack.
• Game progress: the map-room games (Coordinate Hunt, Block Cove, Mermaid Quest) save progress and game preferences in this browser's local storage, on your device only — it is never sent to us or anyone else.
• Sunday Campfire delivery schedule: if you join the Sunday Campfire, we also store the evening and local time you choose and your browser's time zone, so the weekly bedtime story arrives at your bedtime rather than ours.
• Basic technical information: our hosting and form providers may process information such as an IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
• Messages and choices: subscription status or information included when you contact us.

How information is used

We use the information to deliver Pathfinder Pack updates, send the Sunday Campfire story on the weekly schedule you chose if you joined it, operate and secure the website, respond to requests, maintain subscription choices, and meet applicable obligations. We do not use this signup to ask children for personal information.

Service providers

The site is hosted through Cloudflare. Pathfinder Pack signups are stored in Parsimony Automate (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) so we can send story updates and manage mailing-list preferences. Those providers process information on our behalf and may use essential cookies or similar technology to operate their services. Their handling is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Children's privacy

The stories may appeal to children, but the mailing-list form is intended only for parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators, and other adults. A child should not submit a name, email address, or other personal information through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information, email hello@whicketywhacker.com or write to us at the address below, and we will delete it.

Your choices

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and your mail app's own one-click unsubscribe works too. The Sunday Campfire is optional and always separate: you can change the evening, change the time, or stop the stories from the schedule page linked in every email, without leaving the Pathfinder Pack. Unsubscribing from a Pathfinder Pack email removes you from the list altogether.

You can also email hello@whicketywhacker.com to ask what we hold about your signup or to have it deleted, subject to identity verification and applicable law.

Retention and security

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including recordkeeping and security. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable measures are used to protect the information handled through the site.

Updates to this notice

This notice may be updated as the site or its services change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
